Hello Parents,

Easter is around the corner, and we are so excited to celebrate with you and your family! We have some special updates and upcoming events that we hope you will enjoy!

It is a blessing to have a growing congregation and children who desire to be a part of the body of Christ, so four times a year we take a Sunday to celebrate the gifts God has blessed our congregation with. On Family Sundays, we invite our younger members to serve by handing out bulletins, leading worship and by collecting the offering.

On March 29th, Palm Sunday, there will be no nursery so that all members, young and old, can come together and celebrate the gift of each other, wiggles and all! We will have our regular worship bags available as well as younger children's worship bags to help accommodate younger members. If your children or teens are interested in helping with greeting, offering, or leading worship, please reach out to Percy Rolleston or Gianna Rakes for more information.

There will be a children palm branch processional during the service on Palm Sunday after the greeting time. Please have your children join us in the foyer during greeting to receive a palm branch and line up to walk in during the next song. Once the song is over, the palm branches will be left on the stage steps and the children will return to their seats.

All children are invited to our final dress rehearsal is Saturday, March 28th, from 10 to 11am in the Fellowship Hall.

All On Palm Sunday, March 29th, we will be gathering in the Fellowship Hall at 8:50am to line up for the performance.

Easter goodie bags will be available after the performance for all children who would like one.

If you have not been able to attend any of our practices, your children are still welcome to join us on stage Sunday if they would like to and here is the link to the songs for you to practice at home!

Spring Cleaning Update

As some of you have noticed, our 2 & 3 year-old classroom has a new half wall. Our hopes is that the new wall will create more space for drop-off and pick-up and help reduce some hall traffic. This update also gave us an excuse to buy a new rug, update the dollhouse, add hooks for bags/coats, extend the classroom mural, and soon we will be adding a new train table as well! We have also added a lovely storage bench to our baby room instead of the baby beds and are working on adding hooks in both the baby and Pre-k rooms. Thanks to these updates, we now have a train table and baby bed we are hoping to give away. If you or someone you know would be interested in a train table or baby bed, please reach out to Percy Rolleston.

A Spectacular Performance!

Our 2nd to 3rd grade Sunday School class had the opportunity to go to the Jungle Book together to watch Amor Banks (as Shere Khan) , Mary Anna Carlson (as part of Kaa the snake), and Tresa Carlson (in the Jazz Band). We love to celebrate the many gifts and talents we have at New City and congrats again Amor, Mary Anna, and Tresa on a wonderful performance!

We are so thankful for you and your families and look forward to seeing you on Family Sunday! Make sure to keep an eye out for your invitation to our VBS this summer, May 26th-28th! May the Lord continue to bless you and your family with His grace and love,

Percy Rolleston
