If you're unfamiliar with it, The **General Assembly** (GA) is the highest governing body of the PCA. Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, marks the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally received news of their freedom – over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is intended as a profound reminder of God's liberating power, calling for reflection on the ongoing struggle for justice, equality, and the full realization of freedom for all people.
