Hispanic Heritage Month Worship Services

As we celebrate what God has done and is doing through our Hispanic and Latino brothers and sisters in the faith, we will have two Sundays when we sing praise primarily in Spanish. We encourage you to use the YouTube playlist to renew your familiarity with these songs and to come to worship on these Sundays prepared to prefer others over ourselves and to appreciate the particular expression of faith and adoration that Latin culture brings to the bride of Christ.

Reformation Heritage Worship Conference October 23-25

Each year, Wayside Presbyterian Church (PCA) sets aside a weekend to focus on our Reformed heritage, stemming from the Protestant Reformation (and post-Reformation) of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The sessions presented are meant for every-day Christians, to encourage a love for God's Word, to foster an appreciation for those who have gone before us, and to cultivate a joy in God through the Lord Jesus Christ. This year, we are pleased to welcome speakers Fred Greco, Richard Phillips, Chris Larson, Derrick Brite, and Brian Cosby looking at the theme of "The Reformation of Worship."

Heidelberg Catechism #127

Q. What does your conclusion to this prayer mean?

A. For the kingdom and the power
and the glory are yours forever” means:

We have made all these petitions of you
because, as our all-powerful king,

you are both willing and able
to give us all that is good;1

and because your holy name,

and not we ourselves,

should receive all the praise, forever.2

1 Rom. 10:11-13; 2 Pet. 2:9
2 Ps. 115:1; John 14:13
