Gospel Fest Celebration Feb. 22
Come together with New City Fellowship, New City East Lake, Thorns2Crowns Ministries, East Lake Expression Engine, and First Presbyterian to celebrate Christ our King and honor Black History Month through songs and spirituals! Gospel Fest is a musical celebration of God's character through black gospel, Sunday, February 22nd at 4:00 pm in the First Presbyterian Church sanctuary. We will sing congregational songs and hear choral performances. The event typically includes a homily from a local pastor (the last two years we heard from Pastors Alfred Johnson of Church of the Firstborn and Eddie Jacks of Resurrected Baptist Church). Childcare is not provided. All will join together in the sanctuary.

Marriage Discipleship
Marriage Discipleship for Everyone is a refresh of New City's Marriage Mentoring Ministry. A survey has been created to collect information about individual perceptions, beliefs, and understandings of marriage. Your responses will help us better understand how people view marriage today. All answers are confidential and will be used to help inform the Marriage Discipleship ministry team. For more info, contact Derona King or text her at (404) 683-3140.

2025 In Review - Young Adults Fellowship
In the last year, the Lord has opened the door for a deeper connection between young adults in the church. We took a step back and sought the Lord on how we could continue to best serve the college-age and young adults in our church. The reflection season brought insight and God-driven wisdom, including a transition from Nexus to the Young Adult (YA) Fellowship of New City, with the aim of being more accessible and welcoming to all. A survey was also sent out that provided valuable insight into what college-age and young adult attenders/members desired and needed from a YA ministry. We had a beautiful fellowship at our young adults brunch in September, and this year the Lord has opened the door to a Sunday school for college students and young adults (including the young at heart), led by New City Elder Andrew Kean. Please be in prayer for our ministry as the Lord continues to show us how to best serve the young adults and move upon hearts and minds to draw deeper into intimacy with Himself and the church body.

Q. May we then not make
any image at all?
A. God can not and may not
be visibly portrayed in any way.
Although creatures may be portrayed,
yet God forbids making or having such images
if one’s intention is to worship them
or to serve God through them.1
