New City Kids Easter Program March 29

Come and celebrate our risen Savior at our New City Kids Easter Program on Palm Sunday, March 29! Join us in the Sanctuary at 9 am for the performance. All children are welcome to participate no matter how many practices they were able to attend. All participating children will be gathering in the Fellowship Hall at 8:50 am to line up for the program. Thank you to all who have helped make this years Easter Program possible and we look forward to celebrating with you all at the program on March 29th!

Food Pantry Sunday March 29

The need is real and it's a joy to hand a box to someone with God's blessing and see the relief and gratitude on their faces. 5th Sunday is Food Pantry Sunday, however, you can bring items anytime. During the week, please call the Church Office and let us know you'll be bringing items. On Sundays, you can drop items into the containers located in the foyer, at the Children's entrance (glass door) and Rudy's Room.

Please do not bring any items not listed. Sweet peas, spaghettios, peanut butter, crackers (plain), fruit cups, instant potatoes (pkgs), rice sides, corn muffin mix, oatmeal packets, grit packets, cereal, ramen noodles, canned meats and spaghetti sauce. When possible, flip-top cans are best for recipients. Many thanks!

Good Friday Service

Join us this Good Friday at 7 pm for a one hour service as we reflect on "The Triumph of the Cross." Through scripture reading, singing, special music and a message from Pastor Kevin, we will honor Christ’s sacrifice together.

Time to Invite!

Easter (April 5) is one of the times when people who normally wouldn’t attend church are most open to coming. That means each of us has a meaningful opportunity. Who is someone in your life who might come if you invited them—a coworker, neighbor, or family member? Pray about one or two people you could invite and take a moment to reach out. A simple invitation can make all the difference.

Pre-service Fellowship Hour

Come at 9 am for an extended time of coffee and refreshments!

Property Improvements

The Lord continues to bless us with some property improvements. First of all, thank you deacons and deaconesses for organizing several workday projects this weekend. Secondly, work begins next week on a fence around the large grassy area between Rudy’s room and Third Street for better safety for our children. Thanks to Chattanooga Christian School for raising funds for that. And lastly, we begin a renovation of the ladies restroom in Rudy’s room next week that will enlarge it, allowing easier access. Please excuse the appearance while we make these improvements. And thank you, Lord, for these blessings.

Discover New City April 10-11

Are you ready to engage more fully at New City Fellowship? This Fri. evening, Saturday morning seminar is a great next step to learn more about the church (our beliefs, vision, values, ministries, and meaningful church membership) and to spend some time with our pastors in a classroom setting. The class is required for those who wish to become members of the church.

James Ward 50th Anniversary Worship Concert

As we celebrate our church's 50th year, there will be special events throughout 2026. On April 23rd, there will be a concert featuring James Ward's worship songs that were written and shared throughout our history. This is to be a night of worship and praise to our glorious King, who blessed our church with mission, with people who came to serve, and a worship style that supported that mission. The concert will be at 7:00pm and admission is free. An offering will be taken for the technology needs of our music department. If you are unable to attend, you can donate here.

Heidelberg Catechism #102

Q. May we also swear by saints or other creatures?

A. No.

A legitimate oath means calling upon God as the only one who knows my heart

to witness to my truthfulness and to punish me if I swear falsely.1

No creature is worthy of such honor.2
