Monthly Mercy Ministry Giving Opportunity
Grace was never meant to stop with us; it’s meant to flow through us. This Communion Sunday, we invite you to participate in a special tradition of the early church by bringing an offering of mercy. These gifts allow our Mercy Ministry to care for the vulnerable in our midst in real, immediate ways. It’s not intended to take the place of our regular giving to the church (tithes) but rather to be an extra or special gift as you are able. For checks, put “mercy ministry” or “deacons” on the memo line. Or give online here.
James Ward 50th Anniversary Worship Concert
As we celebrate our church's 50th year, there will be special events throughout 2026. On April 23rd, there will be a concert featuring James Ward's worship songs that were written and shared throughout our history. This is to be a night of worship and praise to our glorious King, who blessed our church with mission, with people who came to serve, and a worship style that supported that mission. The concert will be at 7:00pm and admission is free. An offering will be taken for the technology needs of our music department. If you are unable to attend, you can donate here.
Women's Conference April 25
Our TVP Women’s Ministry is hosting a conference for all women in the presbytery, “Body, Bride, and Building,” at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga on Saturday, April 25, from 9-3. Register by April 19. Paula Miles, a PCA Women’s Ministry trainer and speaker at many PCA conferences (most recently at “Made for More”) will be our speaker.

Q. What is God’s will for you
in the sixth commandment?
A. I am not to belittle, hate, insult, or kill my neighbor—
not by my thoughts, my words, my look or gesture,
and certainly not by actual deeds—
and I am not to be party to this in others;1
rather, I am to put away all desire for revenge.2
I am not to harm or recklessly endanger myself either.3
Prevention of murder is also why
government is armed with the sword.4
