1st Sunday Prayer

Join us this Sunday, May 3, at 5 pm in the Fellowship Hall for a time of prayer for our church, community and world.

A Vision for Our Kingdom Life in Christ

Earlier this year, our leadership shared four areas of strategic focus to guide New City in 2026: Kingdom Worship, Kingdom Mission, Kingdom Future, and Kingdom Unity. These are practical pathways moving us from vision to practice. Over the coming months, we will highlight one theme each week as an invitation to align our hearts and resources with the living reality of Christ’s Kingdom here and now.

Reflection Question: Who is the 'neighbor' God is calling me to love through an act of service today? How specifically could I help with the Block Party?

It is our Kingdom Mission to grow as a church in our evangelism and outreach by loving our neighbor. Join us on May 25th from 1–4 PM for our annual Block Party. We invite you to sign up for one of our various volunteer teams. We ask that in your service you would be willing to be bold and share the gospel with the residents. We are also looking to offer resources (offering acts of mercy) to the residents. If you would like to host a tent or would like to invite a local ministry to host a tent at the contact Samara Davis.

Heidelberg Catechism #107

Q. Is it enough then
that we do not murder our neighbor
in any such way?

A. No.
By condemning envy, hatred, and anger
God wants us

to love our neighbors as ourselves,1
to be patient, peace-loving, gentle, merciful, and friendly toward them,2

to protect them from harm as much as we can, and to do good even to our enemies.3

1 Matt. 7:12; 22:39; Rom. 12:10
2 Matt. 5:3-12; Luke 6:36; Rom. 12:10, 18; Gal. 6:1-2; Eph. 4:2; Col. 3:12; 1 Pet. 3:8
3 Ex. 23:4-5; Matt. 5:44-45; Rom. 12:20-21 (Prov. 25:21-22)
