Office Closed Monday May 25th
Reflection Questions: In what area of my life right now do I need to move away from self-reliance and practice a deeper, daily dependence on God through prayer? When and how will I pray for the Block Party? (how about now :)
Thank you to all who have signed up to donate food and to serve with us tomorrow at the Block Party. If you have not already, all food donations need to be placed in the kitchen before 1pm today. Or let Ms. Angela Glover know what you will be bringing if you cannot drop it off before then.
Even if you didn't sign up, come out and join us. We plan to meet at the church at 10 am for a time of prayer and then start loading the U-Haul van. If you are on set-up crew please arrive at the church no later than 10:30 am. All activities will begin at 1 pm! We look forward to serving together rain or shine. The residents have limited parking, so we encourage those serving or just attending to park at the church and ride the shuttle van to Bayberry.
If you signed up for food prep, that is now happening on Sunday evening beginning at 4pm.
Vacation Bible School May 26-28
Our Vacation Bible School starts this coming Tuesday and we would love to have you join us! Our registration for children and volunteers is still live, so please visit our New City Children's page to sign-up or use the link below. Please sign up before the end of the day Sunday. Also, there are still some items available on our VBS registry, so if you would like to donate snack and craft supplies please use the link below. All donations should be dropped off by Sunday, May 24th!
Summer Sunday school classes for adults, youth and children will run May 31 through August 2 (except for June 28 and July 5). Two adult lasses are available:
- Hebrews - Charlie Ingram, Elder
- Adventures in Sharing the Gospel - Ron Lowe, Elder. The class will facilitate sharing our experiences in sharing the gospel with unbelievers. We will develop our ability in listening to hear, using tools (like surveys and Bible studies) to initiate gospel conversations, and dealing with common objections to Christian teaching. Guest speakers will share their experiences in evangelism.

Summer Women's Bible Study
All New City Fellowship women are invited to join us on Thursday mornings this summer as we take a fresh look at some of the “basics” of the Christian life. This study group will continue to meet at the home of Susan Anderson in East Brainerd -- from 9:30 – 11:30 on Thursday mornings (first summer session starts June 4). If you have questions about the studies or need directions to Susan’s house, contact Susan Anderson at 423.762.1361 or Celeste Rakes at 302.423.7232. We would love to save you a seat!
