John Perkins Home in Glory
We grieve the passing of Dr. John Perkins (1930–2026), a giant of the faith whose "theology of the streets" profoundly shaped the PCA. Though not a Presbyterian, Dr. Perkins’ vision for Christian Community Development and biblical justice helped our denomination move toward a more robust, multi-ethnic witness. From addressing the 1978 General Assembly to mentoring PCA leaders, he taught us that the Gospel heals both souls and social structures. We honor his legacy of "quiet wisdom" and his favorite truth from Galatians 2:20—that he was deeply loved by the Son of God. May we continue his work of reconciliation and hope.
Food Pantry Sunday March 29
The need is real and it's a joy to hand a box to someone with God's blessing and see the relief and gratitude on their faces. 5th Sunday is Food Pantry Sunday, however, you can bring items anytime. During the week, please call the Church Office and let us know you'll be bringing items. On Sundays, you can drop items into the containers located in the foyer, at the Children's entrance (glass door) and Rudy's Room.
Please do not bring any items not listed. Sweet peas, spaghettios, peanut butter, crackers (plain), fruit cups, instant potatoes (pkgs), rice sides, corn muffin mix, oatmeal packets, grit packets, cereal, ramen noodles, canned meats and spaghetti sauce. When possible, flip-top cans are best for recipients. Many thanks!
Easter (April 5) is one of the times when people who normally wouldn’t attend church are most open to coming. That means each of us has a meaningful opportunity. Who is someone in your life who might come if you invited them—a coworker, neighbor, or family member? Pray about one or two people you could invite and take a moment to reach out. A simple invitation can make all the difference.

Heidelberg Catechism #101
Q. But may we swear an oath in God’s name
if we do it reverently?
A. Yes, when the government demands it, or when necessity requires it,
in order to maintain and promote truth and trustworthiness
for God’s glory and our neighbor’s good. Such oaths are grounded in God’s Word1
and were rightly used by the people of God
in the Old and New Testaments.2
